Alkmaar is named after a city in the Netherlands famous for its cheese markets where big rounds of delicious cheeses are sold. This soap doesn't smell like cheese though! Wherever we can, we like to choose ingredients that are not only effective for our purposes, but also smell lovely. Sometimes, that's just not possible, as in the case of Soak and Float. With the fragrance of a freshly paved road, this little brown bar may be a turn off compared to our other colourful, gorgeously fragrant bars; but if you have dandruff, try it. For many years wFor many years we've offered a gift wrap service and this year is no different; well, it is slightly. We've replaced our boxes, paper and ribbon with Knot-Wrap. We were inspired by the Japanese art of wrapping, or 'Furoshiki', which means 'bath spread'. Since the 1600s Furoshiki was used in public bathhouses to wrap and carry bathing articles. We loved this style of wrapping so much that we borrowed the idea and put an eco-friendly twist on them; each Knot-wrap is made from recycled plastic bottles.
